We receive numerous special requests that do not necessarily fall into the complete room package category. As we go through each stage of your project, we will be able to give you an estimate of the time needed to complete a given design task so there are no surprises. Typically hourly rates requests include whole house design, partial room design, surface selections, accessorizing, etc.

Want to buy new furniture but don't know what will fit? Having trouble figuring out how to place your furniture or just looking to make a room in your home feel new? Sometimes you need a professional to suggest new ways to layout the furniture in a room so it functions correctly and looks great. We will draft floorplans using your existing furniture, new furnishings or a combination of both.

Need help finding the right paint color for your room? Are you at your wits end looking at small paint chips? Let a professional Interior Designer assist you and recommend a paint color to coordinate with your existing furnishings for any interior space. Or, you may like to have a cohesive paint color palette for your entire home. if you are having trouble deciding which paint colors work together under one roof we can help with that too.

Are you stumped as to where to find the perfect area rug, furniture piece, accessory, or really not sure what to buy. Our shopping services can help. Let us find the perfect item for you. We are experienced in shopping and specifying items for the home, and are confident that we can find just what you need. We will specify 3 to 5 options for the piece you are looking for per order. After completing a short questionnaire and submitting photos of your space, we create a custom design plan that includes an inspiration board, product source list, true-to-scale floorplan and detailed instructions on how to implement your design. Whether it's all new merchandise or using your current pieces, we create a professional, custom design based on your style preference and lifestyle.

A design binder chock full of useful ideas to help you put together the perfect room. The convenient small size binder is perfect for taking along on shopping trips and keeping all of your information organized and in one place. Or go digital! All the same useful information to put your room together, set up in a convenient email file. Do you have smart phone? Then you will always have your room plan at your fingertips.

I want to add information during the time my room is being designed how do I do this?

All information needs to be supplied at the beginning of the design process. Information received after the design process has begun may not be used.

I would like to purchase a design consultation as a gift. Is this possible?

Yes! Gift certificates are available.

What form of payment do you accept?

Check, Money Order or Cash payments are accepted. Payment in full must be received before design process can begin.

Do you give refunds?

Once the design process begins refunds can not be given.

What if I don't like something you select for my room?

Since you are the one implementing the design, you make the final purchasing decisions. Your final satisfaction is ultimately up to you.

How involved is mY dESIGN pARTNER in the process?

MDP will be there as much or as little as you need. Our time together can be as little as a one hour, one time consultation. Or, you may want guidance every step of the way until your project is complete. You decide how much help you need and how much money you want to spend.

Will it be expensive to implement your design plan?

MDP makes recommendations from all types of retailers at all different price points. All recommended items can be substituted with less expensive or more expensive options to best fit your budget. Good design doesn't need to be expensive! We have done entire rooms from Ikea & Target.

I'd like to use some of my existing furniture. Can I use things I already have?

Absolutely! We certainly can integrate your existing items into the new design.

I don't know what service to order. Can you help?

Of course! You might consider starting with a 1 hour consultation. We can take a look at your home & determine what needs improvement and prioritize projects based on need and budget.

How long does the process take?

You can expect to receive your custom designed room plan in approximately 3 weeks from the time all necessary information is received by mY dESIGN pARTNER.

I don't live in your area. Can mY dESIGN pARTNER still help me?

Yes! We have a Virtual Design Service which provides all of the same benefits to our long distance customers. You provide the photographs and measurements and leave the rest to us.

ABOUT ME

Maria has been involved in the design industry for over 20 years. She earned a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in design from Rochester Institute of Technology in upstate New York. Design is her passion. From crayons to logos to floorplans, designing is all she has ever wanted to do. Great design makes her happy.

After years of helping friends "redo" their homes, she recognized a need for a more casual approach to interior design. mY dESIGN pARTNER was created with the idea that good design could be affordable as well as approachable. Just a "friend" who can meet with you and provide ideas of how your home can look it's best.
